Cheyenne Man Charged With Aggravated Assault Bonds Out of Jail
A 23-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge following an alleged gun threat.
Felony Warrant
According to a booking sheet, Jacian Michael Montemayor was arrested at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, after officers, knowing he was wanted, spotted him walking in the parking lot at Capital Court Apartments at 408 Murray Rd.

Police say Montemayor had an active warrant out of Laramie County Circuit Court for aggravated assault and battery - threatens to use a drawn deadly weapon, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
It's alleged that on or about Thursday, Oct. 16, Montemayor threated C.A. with a handgun.
Police say Judge Antoinette Williams signed the warrant on Tuesday, Oct. 21.
Montemayor was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked on his warrant.
Initial Court Appearance
On Monday, Oct. 27, Montemayor was seen in Circuit Court in front of Judge TJ Forwood on the charge.
Forwood appointed Montemayor a public defender and asked the state for recommendation on bond.
"In light of the nature of the allegations, the state is going to recommend a $5,000 cash bond," the state said. "He has no prior (criminal history) according to the NCIC."
"I do believe with the seriousness of the underlying offense that it is an appropriate bond amount, so the court will set it at $5,000 cash," Forwood said.
Out on Bond
Montemayor reportedly posted bond later that day.
He's scheduled to be back in court for his preliminary hearing on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2:30 p.m.
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
