This Saturday at Cheyenne Central High School, young women from across the city will join together to celebrate each other at the 2022 Girls on the Run Wyoming 5K. The public (yep, you and me) are welcome to join in and support Cheyenne's young women and girls as they race to the finish line of the 5K.

What Is Girls on the Run Wyoming?

Girls on the Run Wyoming is a 10-week-long program designed to help girls in grades 3rd through 6th to strengthen their "social, emotional, physical, and behavioral skills" through a program centering around running. Participants learn kindness, develop their confidence, and learn the valuable connection between physical and emotional health.

In short, the program teaches girls the skills they need to thrive and "race" toward their bright futures!

Girls on the Run Wyoming offers a variety of courses for individuals interested in getting their girls involved. The "Girls on the Run" program is open to 3-5 graders, but there's also the "Hear & Sole" program available to 6-8 graders and a summer camp (Camp GOTR) held in August. Find more info on the programs here.
