The employee arrested at Crest Hill Elementary School was teaching before he was taken into custody, a person familiar with the matter told K2 Radio News on Monday.
Kellan Holbrook is listed as a second-grade teacher at the school on the Natrona County School District's staff directory. He was arrested on multiple felony warrants, according to the source.
Officers reportedly waited until Holbrook left his classroom before taking him into custody. Holbrook was escorted out through a side door, the source said Monday evening, as officers made every effort to arrest him out of students' view.
