BREAKING: Cheyenne Man Found Guilty of Child Sex Abuse

A Laramie County jury has found a 29-year-old Cheyenne man guilty of sexually abusing a 5-year-old girl.

According to an affidavit, Cody Nelson​ reportedly touched the inside part of the girl's vagina with his finger on two separate occasions between Jan. 1-23, 2016.  He was 26 at the time.

Nelson was facing two counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor, but one of the counts was dismissed during his trial because the girl only testified to one of the incidents.

Nelson​ is facing 25 to 50 years in prison.  He is currently being held on a $25,000 cash bond awaiting sentencing.​
