Blast Of Winter May Be Headed To Southeast Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is predicting much colder weather and widespread snow showers for southeast Wyoming this weekend.
Ahead of that, a somewhat weaker cold front could bring colder temperatures than we have been seeing lately and possibly some rain mixed with snow.
The agency posted the following to its website:
''A drastic shift in weather is coming towards the end of the week. The mild and pleasant weather will continue through Wednesday, but a cold front moving through late Wednesday night will lead to cooler temperatures and the chance for rain and snow across much of the area on Thursday and Thursday night. Temperatures continue to cool on Friday with another chance for snow showers during the afternoon and overnight. Another cold front Friday night will lead to even colder temperatures on Saturday and the chance for more widespread snow showers. There is still a lot of uncertainty regarding snow over the weekend, however, there is higher confidence in much colder, below average temperatures.''
