While forecasters with the Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service expect a lull in the winter storm which hit southeast Wyoming on Monday later today (April 30), another wave of snow and ice is expected to hit the area again tonight and into Wednesday morning.

The agency posted this statement on its website early Tuesday:

''Snow is decreasing over the area this morning and this trend is expected to continue today so not much more accumulation is expected today. Roads conditions should improve with a slow warming of temperatures. A second disturbance will pass across tonight into Wednesday morning bringing another round of snow, heaviest over western and northern parts of the area. Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect until noon Wednesday."
