The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about heavy snowfall, strong winds and near-blizzard conditions in southeast Wyoming Monday and Tuesday.

The agency posted this statement on its' website:

''Here's what we're expecting in terms of storm total snowfall with this upcoming winter storm. Already have snow developing over the mountains this morning. Snow is expected to form out near Rawlins by late morning and spread east through the afternoon. Heaviest snow will fall from roughly sunset today through noon Tuesday before slowly ending from west to east. This will be a slow moving storm as the low tracks across northern Colorado. There will be plenty of time for this snow to accumulate. Travel is expected to be severely impacted tonight into Tuesday."
