60s Expected In SE Wyoming Friday, Snow Possible Saturday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is forecasting beautiful weather for southeast Wyoming on Friday, followed by a touch of winter on Saturday.
The agency posted this statement on its website late Thursday:
''A quiet start to the end of the work week, with patchy fog across the Panhandle and the Platter River Basin early Friday morning under a calm wind regime. Increasing clouds overhead will be a sign that the nice weather will soon become active as a cold front approaches from the north and west, spreading a wintry mix across the region Saturday. There is potential for banded snowfall with increased instability along the eastern I-80 corridor, especially between Laramie and Cheyenne. Cold temperatures and a drying trend will follow quickly behind the front. As the system moves out of the region Sunday, winds will increase as they turn westerly, with the potential for high wind headlines for the wind-prone areas Sunday.
