The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for most of Laramie County, including Cheyenne, starting at 6 p.m. today [March 24].

The agency posted the following on its Facebook page:

A High Wind Watch is in effect for the far southern Nebraska panhandle and Laramie County in Wyoming Sunday night. Strong northerly winds could yield gusts up to 60 MPH at times. Main impacts will be to transportation where strong crosswinds will pose a hazard to light weight or high profile vehicles.
