2018 could be one of the coldest, rainiest years we've ever seen at Cheyenne Frontier Days. Over half an inch of rain has fallen since last Friday and the worst is yet to come, according to Day Weather Meteorologist Mark Heuer.

"If things pan out as they possibly could for rain yet today and the next few days, there'll be a chance it could be one of the wettest, and coolest, in recent history and maybe even beyond," Heuer says.

A flash flood watch is in effect for southeastern Wyoming tonight with the chance for heavy rain and severe thunderstorms through Friday. The forecast also calls for afternoon thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.

If the forecast is correct, it could rain 9 out of 10 days during CFD this year.
