Step Up Cheyenne, a fitness and weight loss challenge that asks participants to lose weight by walking 10 thousand steps a day, officially kicked off Friday morning. the 10,000 steps is based on the U.S. Surgeon General's recommendation for activity. Wyoming First Lady Carol Mead was on hand to encourage participants in their efforts. She says she found time in her schedule because she thinks physical fitness really is important.
