Overall ticket sales for Cheyenne Frontier Days 2013 events were up by about 10 percent as of Friday morning, according to Ticket Chair Judie Petersen.

She says total ticket sales for night shows were up a little bit over last year, with a turnout of almost 15,000 for Thursday night's performance by Rascal Flatts and the band Perry helping to boost those numbers.

Petersen says rodeo ticket sales as of Friday morning were down slightly compared to last year. But even though the overall rodeo ticket sales were down somewhat, Petersen says turnout for the rodeo on Wednesday (Cheyenne Day) was larger than in past years.

She also says she's hoping that a strong turnout for the last three says of rodeo action at CFD 2013 will boost the final ticket sales numbers for that event.
