There aren't any hard numbers available yet, but Cheyenne Mayor Rick Kaysen says conversations he's had with local merchants show most are pleased with the amount of business they've been doing during CFD 2013.

Kaysen says Frontier Days events have been drawing big crowds, and that's translating into a lot of traffic for local retailers. Kaysen says vendors he's spoken with at Frontier Park likewise seem pleased with the amount of sales they have conducted so far.

Kaysen says the rodeo and night shows at the park have been drawing good crowds, and official figures show Wednesday morning's Pancake breakfast at the Depot Plaza served 13,097 people--an increase of over 4000 from Monday's breakfast.

While there is no way to precisely gauge attendance at CFD parades, the mayor says he believes  those events have also drawn well so far this year.
