Wednesday June 25  has been designated as ''Bike to Work Day" in Cheyenne, and there are local events designed to promote bicycling throughout the week of June 23-27.

Michele Bolkovatz with Warren Federal Credit Union says that business will be offering free continental breakfasts to bicyclists, as will the Holiday Inn on Fox Farm Road and the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center branches on East 18th and East 23rd streets. The breakfasts will be offered from 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation will be offering free bike helmet fittings an giveaways for kids between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Laramie County School District#1 will offer free summer for children for anyone who rides a bike during the week.

Other events aimed at promoting bicycling are also planned throughout the week.
