The Cheyenne Police Department says it's still searching for a Cheyenne man who went missing nearly five weeks ago.

Today, April 25, marks 33 days since 27-year-old Nathan Christopher Mejia was last seen.

Mejia is described as 5-foot-9, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair.

"I don't have an update to provide at this time," Public Information Officer Alex Farkas told KGAB Radio Thursday afternoon.

"Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact our dispatch center at 307-637-6525," she added.

As you may recall, Mejia was charged in February with felony possession of fentanyl and misdemeanor interference with a peace officer, after police reportedly caught him with 61 fentanyl pills and drug paraphernalia.

A petition for a bench warrant was filed in Laramie County District Court on Tuesday, April 23, but as of Thursday afternoon, it had yet to be signed.
