According to a National Geographic article, 2017 through 2019 have set records for snow fall. This is nothing but good news for those who love to surf the powder.

Some areas have seen up to 12 feet in one week. Those areas include Tahoe. Nine feet of snow in three days actually closed California's Kirkwood Mountain Resort. Squaw Valley Ski Resort broke a 45-year record with 212 inches in January. Nearby, Mount Rose Ski Tahoe passed the 300-inch mark. Mammoth Mountain picked up a record-setting 164 inches. More than 200 inches of snow fell on Jackson Hole Mountain Resort in Wyoming.

Wyoming's Snowy Range Ski Resort is enjoying the piles of white powder and snow boarders and skiers line up to ride the white stuff. Record snows bring out record crowds.
