Sunday morning got off to a terrible start for one woman in Gillette. After her car was stolen from a Walmart parking lot and later found several blocks away, she went to get her vehicle, only to discover it had been stolen again.

The woman had left her keys in the car when she went shopping at Walmart just before 1 a.m., according to County 17. When she left the store 20 minutes later, her car was gone. Surveillance video showed that someone had stolen the car and drove it north on State Highway 59.

Later that morning, Gillette Police located the missing SUV parked one mile north of the Walmart. When the woman went to pick up the vehicle shortly after 9:30 a.m., it was gone again.

When she called the Police back, they reported the vehicle as stolen and reentered it into the national crime database. Less than two hours later, just after 11 a.m., a police officer pulled over the stolen SUV nearly 60 miles east of Gillette in Sundance. The driver of the stolen vehicle was arrested and charged with grand theft auto.
