Wind Gusts Of 70 Miles Per Hour, High Fire Danger Expected In SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning about wind gusts of 70 miles per hour and an elevated to near-critical fire danger in Wyoming.
The agency posted the following on its Facebook page:
- Another round of widespread strong winds is increasingly likely Thursday evening through Friday. Northwest winds gusting 55 to 70 mph are possible mainly along and east of I-25. High Wind Watches have been issued for much of the area.
Strong winds combined with low humidity could lead to the rapid spread of grassland wildfire. Outdoor burning is discouraged, especially on Friday when winds are at their strongest.

Exploring The Lost Town Of Yoder Wyoming
Between Cheyenne and Torrington, but mostly closer to Torrington, and just off of Highway 85, is, or was, the tiny town of Yoder, Wyoming. For such a forgotten place, you would be surprised at how well-kept it is. Population 133.
