The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for areas of southeast Wyoming as well as the Nebraska Panhandle and northeastern Colorado.

The agency posted the following on it's Facebook page:

A Tornado Watch has been issued for most of the area through 11PM MDT. The primary tornado hazard is a little more geographically limited (mostly to Platte, Goshen, Laramie, southern panhandle), but for simplicity we opted for just one watch. The hail hazard will be more widespread.
The cap isn't quite gone yet, but the environment is extremely potent for severe storms such that it warranted a watch if a storm can break through.
