CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - County election officials are reporting heavy voter turnout across Wyoming with wait times of more than an hour in some places.

The heavy turnout mirrors the heavy absentee voting seen before Tuesday's election.

Laramie County Clerk Debra Lee says polling stations were swamped Tuesday morning in Cheyenne.

She says there were people waiting for an hour or more is some places.

Lee also noted a lot of new voters this election.
