Wyoming Man Sentenced for Deadly Sheridan Shooting
SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) — A man will spend at least 27 years in prison following his guilty plea to a deadly shooting in northern Wyoming.
Christopher Labuy was sentenced Monday in a Sheridan courtroom after changing his plea to a second-degree murder charge.
Labuy was accused of shooting 47-year-old Eric Kaylor during an argument at a Sheridan apartment complex in January 2018.
Labuy previously claimed that Kaylor pointed a gun at him first before he shot him.
Labuy admitted in court Monday the shooting was not in self-defense.
He apologized to Kaylor's family and his own family in court, saying he must serve the consequences of his actions.
