CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — A Wyoming libertarian advocacy group is expanding to the national political scene.

The Cheyenne-based Wyoming Liberty Group hopes to influence campaign finance laws in other states through its new Pillar of Law Institute in the Washington, D.C. area.

Founded in 2008, the organization educates the public, lobbies the Wyoming Legislature and pursues litigation.

The Casper Star-Tribune reports  that it has entered cases for education and civil asset forfeiture reform, opposition to the Affordable Care Act and government incentives for businesses, and against campaign finance restrictions.
