Woman Arrested After Ramming Kid With Shopping Cart, Kicking Man at Cheyenne Walmart
A Billings, Montana woman is behind bars after ramming a six-year-old with a shopping cart at Walmart in Cheyenne.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Dan Long says officers were called to a disturbance at 2032 Dell Range around 5 p.m. on September 8.
"A woman was using racial slurs towards a family," said Long. "She was telling them that they needed to go back to Mexico and a few other things."
Long says when the family tried to walk away, the woman hit their six-year-old with a shopping cart and kicked the father.
"Then she was uncooperative with officers and wouldn't get out of her vehicle," said Long.
53-year-old Tammy Miller was arrested and charged with felony child abuse, simple assault and interfering with a peace officer.
Long says he doesn't know what caused Miller to get into an argument with the family or whether she was under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs at the time of the altercation.
