A new partnership between WINhealth and University of Utah Health Care – an academic health system that includes four hospitals and 1,200 physicians – increases quality health care options for Wyoming residents, particularly those living on the western side of the state.

WINhealth is a Wyoming-based carrier offering health care plans for individuals and groups both on and off the Federally Facilitated Marketplace. WINhealth offers a wide variety of affordable plans, many of which include free preventative health care services through an ever expanding network of providers that covers all of Wyoming and extends into Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado, and South Dakota. The inclusion of University of Utah Health Care and its physician group based in Salt Lake City is part of WINhealth’s recent expansion of its network, which also now includes the Billings Clinic in Montana.

Stephen K. Goldstone, President and CEO of WINhealth, said "expanding the primary network into other states gives members the opportunity to access routine medical services along with specialized services not always available where they live.”

Wyoming residents who have health insurance coverage through WINhealth can access University of Utah Health Care’s network of physicians, hospitals and ancillary services at the primary level. In January 2014, people who choose WINhealth as their insurer through the Health Insurance Marketplace will have that access as well.
