Wind, Snow In SE Wyoming Forecast, Mountains Could Get 12 Inches
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is predicting windy conditions and snow for southeast Wyoming through Saturday evening.

The agency says much of the region, including Cheyenne and western Albany County just outside of Laramie, is under a High Wind Warning:
Most of the rest of the High Wind Watches have been upgraded to High Wind Warnings this morning. Eastern Platte County is the only area that remains in a High Wind Watch. Use caution if traveling with light weight and high profile vehicles and referrer to www.wyoroad.info for information on road closures.
While the temperatures across most of the region are expected to be mild today, snow squalls are possible starting this afternoon:
Expect partly cloudy and mild weather today with increasing winds, especially along and west of I-25. A strong cold front will move through the area this afternoon, and bring a rapid temperature drop along with the possibility for rain showers changing to briefly intense snow showers between 2PM and 7PM, mainly west of I-25. Travellers should be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.
Heavy snow is possible in the Sierra Madre and Snowy Range mountains:
Mountain snowfall is expected in the Sierra Madres and Snowy Ranges Friday afternoon and overnight. Moderate to heavy snowfall is expected with 6 to 12 inches of snow likely above 8500 feet. Extreme caution is urged to those recreating in the mountains as falling and blowing snow will lead to poor visibility which may cause those to become lost and disoriented. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect.
