Wyoming has Fort Laramie, and then there is the town of Fort Laramie - not to be confused with the town of Laramie, or Laramie Peak, none of which are in Laramie County.

I recently took a drive through Medicine Bow National Forest - not to be confused with the town of Medicine Bow, or Medicine Bow the mountain, which is not in Medicine Bow National Forest...where Laramie Peak is.

No wonder tourists get lost in Wyoming. Why can't everything with the same name be in the same place?

Are we trying to get them lost?

For example: The city of Casper and Fort Caspar (note the spellings) are located at the base of Casper Mountain. That's easy enough (even with the spelling).
