Wanted Cheyenne Man Facing Felony Child Abuse, Battery Charges
A 22-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after allegedly kicking his young child, throwing the child's mother against a door, and then fighting the child's grandfather.
According to arrest records, a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy was called to a reported domestic battery at an apartment in Cheyenne at about 9:48 p.m. Thursday, June 29.
Upon arrival, the deputy was informed by Julian Hernandez's girlfriend that she and Hernandez had gotten into an argument.
The female reportedly told the deputy that Hernandez walked toward her, kicked their 4-year-old daughter out of the way, and then threw her against the door.
Hernandez then reportedly got into a fight with his girlfriend's father, wrestling him to the ground and striking him multiple times.
After a records check, a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation was discovered for Hernandez, at which point he was taken into custody, taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for clearance, and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center.
Hernandez was subsequently charged with felony domestic battery-third offense, felony child abuse, and misdemeanor battery. His bond in the case was set at $5,000 cash.
Bond in the case he allegedly violated his probation in -- two counts of domestic battery from March 2022 -- was set at $1,000 cash.
Hernandez's preliminary hearing and probation revocation hearing are scheduled for July 10 at 11 a.m.
