The director of the University of Wyoming’s Enhanced Oil Recovery Institute, Steve Carpenter, will speak about the state’s opportunities with carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) Friday, May 22, at 10 a.m. MDT.

The presentation, named “The Cowboy Unicorn -- Wyoming’s Unique Position in the World’s CCUS Arena,” is part of the Petrolern At-home Seminar Series (PASS).

Carpenter will share and relate Wyoming’s unique position and leadership in CCUS research and technology. With 30 years of experience in the international energy and mining industry, Carpenter is an internationally recognized expert on enhanced oil recovery, climate change, and carbon and risk management issues.
