US 287/Third Street/ Grand Ave. Intersection In Laramie To Close
Work crews with the Wyoming Department of Transportation [WYDOT] and Knife River Construction will be implementing upgrades to the intersection of U.S. Highway 287/Third Street and Grand Avenue in Laramie starting on Thursday, weather permitting.
The work will cause the intersection to be closed, with traffic being detoured to 4th Street via Ivinson and Garfield. The closure is expected to last until sometime in early July.
What Work Is Planned?
According to a WYDOT news release ''Crews will be upgrading the intersection to concrete, including colored concrete for the crosswalk, upgrading the ADA corners with curb extensions and audible pedestrian signals to make it more pedestrian friendly, installing new signals, and other miscellaneous work.''
The release says pedestrians will still have access to local businesses during the closure.
