A week ago, Burns pulled off a major upset in 2A by defeating Wheatland 18-14. The Broncs had another upset in mind when they traveled north to meet Upton-Sundance in Sundance. The Patriots had other idea's about an upset and got on the board first thanks to a 1-yard plunge from Keaton Mills to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead

In the 2nd quarter, Upton-Sundance found the end zone again with a 15-yard scamper to the end zone from Reece Barritt, and with the successful two-point try, the Patriots led 15-0, Mills rang up his 2nd TD of the night as he picked up 15 yards on the ground for another score so Upton-Sundance led by 21 going into the 4th quarter of play,

Burns gained some traction in that final quarter as Caden David zoomed to the end zone from 15 yards out to cut the Upton-Sundance lead to 21-6. The Broncs followed that up with a TD pass from David to Cooper Lakin to make it 21-12. But that was as close as Burns would get as they fall in this game 21-12.

Upton-Sundance is 4-2 overall and 3-2 in conference play with a road game this week at Glenrock. Burns is 2-5 overall and 2-3 in the league and will host Newcastle on Friday. We have more than a few great pics of the game from Marsha Barritt so you want to take a peek at those!
