United Way of Laramie County has announced the first-ever leadership team for their new emerging leaders program, according to spokeswoman Sara Weber.

She says the Emerging Leaders program is an effort to get people between the ages of 20-35 involved in the community and in helping others. She says it's also a chance for young professionals to advance their careers, connect with influential people, and learn how non-profit organizations work.

The members of the team are:

Committee Co-Chairs: Ashley Pexton and Derrek Jerred
Connect Committee Co-Chairs: Casey Turcato and Sara Rhoten
Lead Committee Co-Chairs: Britney Wallesch and Charlotte Martinez
Serve Committee Co-Chairs: Jaime Davis and Lori Kempter-Mansell
Members at Large: Aubrie Eres, Kelsey Hart, Amber Still and Lisa Taylor
