U.S. Marshals Seek South Dakota Fugitive with Wyoming Ties
RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) - The U.S. Marshals Service has added a South Dakota man to its list of 15 Most Wanted fugitives.
Forty-eight-year-old David Bonness is wanted by authorities in Pennington County on charges of pedophilia, rape and sexual contact with a child.
The Marshals Service says Bonness fled in December 2008 after being questioned about the alleged sexual assault of a girl over a span of about five years. He has been on the run since.
Bonness is a 5-foot-9 white male weighing about 180 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes. He has personal ties in Wyoming and Nebraska, though authorities say he could be anywhere. They say he poses a significant threat to the public.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading directly to his arrest.
