A Torrington man is dead following an accident 37 miles northeast of Cheyenne Monday night.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Branden Christman was traveling north on U.S. Highway 85 when his SUV crossed the center line and was side-swiped by a semi.

Two passengers in the SUV, 27-year-old Emily Troudt of Torrington and a 25-day-old baby, were transported to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center with injuries. Troudt was treated and released and the baby was hospitalized.

The semi driver, 30-year-old Felipe Cisneros, was uninjured.

Road conditions were still clear and dry as snowfall had just began at the time of the accident. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Troudt has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and child endangerment.
