Wyoming is rich with history, as well as Cheyenne, and some people have gone down in infamy. Infamy is no stranger to one Tom Horn, who, on this July day, killed a young man.

They year was 1901, and a man known as a 'stock detective,' Tom Horn, shot a young Willie Nickell, whom he mistook for Willie's dad.

It was one of the most popular arrests and convictions of the early 1900s and it took place right here in Wyoming.

Although the murder was thought to have been a mistake, Horn later hanged for his crime.
