There are trees in Cheyenne Wyoming that have reached the end of the life span and need to be replaced. There are entire neighborhoods where trees are a rare sight. That is why Cheyenne has the Rooted in Cheyenne program.

All you need to do is apply at to see if you can become a partner with the city.

The cost of a tree is $50, which is far less than it would have cost retail. The city will show up with a six foot tall specimen and plant it for you. They next year of maintenance is on them, not you. That means watering, mulching and trimming for the next year will be provided by the city of Cheyenne.

This is not a taxpayer funded program. The cost of the tree plus donations from various local organizations.

Spring of 2018 is currently sold out. But now is the time to apply for the fall.
