Anyone that lives in Cheyenne probably dreads the city's roundabouts.

Construction on the new roundabout behind Frontier Mall will get underway tomorrow, the City of Cheyenne announced Wednesday.

In a move that arguably should have happened years ago, the Cheyenne City Council on Monday night approved buying out roundabout neighbor Mary Rose Ramirez.

The city is proposing a single lane roundabout for the intersection.

A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says roundabouts are far safer than traditional intersections.

Have you had the wonderful experience of traveling through the new round-about at 19th Street, Converse and East Pershing? It is, bar-none, the most confusing mass of mess I have ever seen in any city. Maybe it's because there are orange cones everywhere, and if you go through this thing at night with their reflectors shining brightly in your headlights and everyone elses, too...

There is access to Converse Avenue both North and South, East Pershing Boulevard and 19th Street.
