Suspect Sought In Larimer County Shooting Death
Police in Fort Collins are looking for a suspect in connection with a Monday shooting death.
That's according to a post on the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page.
According to the post, police were called at 10:41 a.m. on July 19 on a report of a shooting in the 2400 block of South College Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found a dead person outside.
The case is being investigated as a homicide, and at last report, the name of the victim had not been released.
Police don't know if the victim knew his killer, and it's also unclear whether Monday's incident is related to another homicide that happened in the city on July 5. In both cases, the victims were homeless.
According to the post:
''Detectives with the Fort Collins Police Department are seeking the public's help with identifying a suspect in this case. The suspect is described as a male, 5’9” with a thin build. The suspect was further described as having a shaved head and burn scarring on his face. The suspect was last seen driving a stolen Silver 2014 Honda CRV with Missouri license plate TE5Y1P (images of suspect and vehicle attached). If you observe this subject or vehicle do not approach and call 911 immediately.''
Anyone with information on either shooting is being asked to call the Fort Collins Police Services Tipline at (970) 416-2825 or tipsline@fcgov. People who want to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at (970) 221-6868.
