Strong Winds Expected Pose Travel Issues In SE Wyoming Tuesday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued the following weather statement for Tuesday, April 17:
"Widespread strong winds are expected across a large portion of southeast WY and the western NE Panhandle today. Winds will initially develop over western areas early this morning, and then spread east across the high plains through the afternoon. West to northwest winds of 35 to 45 MPH with gusts in excess of 60 MPH can be expected. This will create dangerous travel for light weight and high profile vehicles, including those pulling camping trailers. Use caution!"
The areas shown in dark yellow below have a high wind warning in effect.
