For many of us, Spring can't come fast enough. For Yellowstone, Spring is always late.

From a low of 8,000 feet above sea level, the park rises much higher from there, up to 11,000 feet. Between that and the bowl that the mountains make around the center flats of the park, and the Spring wind and wet that comes in from Washington state and California, that means a lot more cold and snow.

Summer is short in the park and it is common to have a hot day on Monday, followed by a snowstorm on Tuesday, in the middle of summer.

This wonderful video shows you what life appears in the Spring when it finally comes to Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.
