Critical Fire Danger For SE Wyoming Today, Rain Possible This Weekend
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says much of southeast Wyoming remains under a Red Flag today.
But the fire danger should taper off somewhat on Thursday and Friday, with cooler weather and some rai8n possible.
The agency posted the following on it's website:
5:30 PM 6/16 - Here's a look at the weather for the week ahead! Warm, dry, and windy weather will continue into Wednesday with very high fire danger. Dry conditions will prevail through Thursday and Friday, but winds will be lighter. Expect a modest cool down this weekend into early next week as daily chances for scattered afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms return to the area.
In the meantime, much of southeast Wyoming faces critically high fire danger today:
