Southeast Wyoming residents can expect a warming trend, but continuing possibilities for rain and thunderstorms over the next few days.

That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:

 Here's a look at the week ahead weather-wise across southeast Wyoming and Nebraska Panhandle. Wednesday's looking pretty nice with dry weather. After Wednesday however; we're expecting daily chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will be quite pleasant with 70s going into the Memorial Day weekend.

A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph.

A chance of rain showers before midnight, then a chance of sprinkles and flurries between midnight and 1am, then a chance of flurries after 1am. Some thunder is also possible. Widespread frost, mainly after 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 31. West wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
