Authorities say no one was injured when 11 gunshots were fired into a trailer home and car in south Cheyenne early Monday morning.

Laramie County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Captain Linda Gesell says deputies were called to the 1400 block of South Greeley Highway just after midnight.

"When the deputies got there they discovered that at space 62, that there had been five rounds fired into a car and six rounds fired into a trailer," said Gesell. "Neighbors couldn't tell whether someone was walking by or driving by."

"There was a mother, her adult son and a juvenile son in the home," she added. "It could have been a mistaken identity in the wrong trailer, we're not sure yet."

Gesell says investigators are working to determine who fired the shots and what their motive was.

"There's not much we have to go on," said Gesell. "We're still looking for rounds and trying to get everything put together."
