Sheriff’s Office Posts Drone Video Of Tunnel Crash Site
The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office has posted a WYDOT drone video of the Interstate 80 tunnel where a massive crash happened on Friday.
According to the sheriff's office Facebook page, the video was compiled by the sheriff's office and the Wyoming Highway Patrol

There are two interstate tunnels on Interstate 80, just west of Green River, one of which is eastbound, the other, westbound. According to WYDOT, the tunnels are roughly 1,200 feet long each, with two lanes in each direction. Normal lane widths in the tunnel are 12 ft.
The fatal crash happened in the westbound lane. Investigators say they think it started outside of the tunnel.
They were opened in 1966.
Names Of Those Killed In Crash
Three fatalities have been confirmed in connection with the crash. WYDOT identifies the victims as Christopher Johnson, 20, of Rawlins; Quentin Romero, 22, of Rawlins; and Harmanjeet Singh, 30, of Nova Scotia, Canada. All three died at the scene according to WYDOT.
Another 18 people were treated for injuries at Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs.
Details on those injuries are not available.
The crash remains under investigation. WYDOT quotes Tim Cameron, a Colonel with the Wyoming Highway Patrol, as saying “Due to complexities in this crash, off-scene investigations and crash reconstructions conducted by WHP are expected to take quite some time.”
