Blizzard, Winter Storm Prompt SE Wyoming Travel Restrictions
Parts of interstates 80 and 25 in southeast Wyoming were closed to light, high-profile vehicles as of 8 a.m. on Tuesday, December 26, according to the WYDOT Road and Travel website.
Large areas of both highways were also under an "extreme blow over risk" warning.
That includes Interstate 80 all of the way from Cheyenne to Rawlins. Interstate 25 was under similar restrictions between Cheyenne and the Colorado state line, as well as between Wheatland and Douglas.
Severe Weather Expected Into Wednesday
Most of southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle are under winter storm or blizzard warnings into Wednesday.
