SE Wyoming Facing Hurricane Force Winds, Blowing Snow
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has posted high wind warnings and watches for much of southeast Wyoming Starting on Sunday and running through through Tuesday, Feb. 25.

Winds of over 75 miles per hour are possible as is blowing snow. For reference, winds of at least 74 miles per hour are considered Hurricane Force by the National Weather Service.
Cheyenne will face a High Wind Watch starting at 11 a..m. on Sunday, while Laramie is facing a High Wind Warning
The agency posted the following on its website:
High Wind Watches have been expanded with some upgrades to High Wind Warnings. Here’s the key information: Arlington/Elk Mountain: Warning, 9am today through 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 60 mph Saturday with gusts at or above 75 mph expected Sunday onwards. Bordeaux: Warning, 8pm today through 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 65 mph Saturday with gusts at or above 80 mph expected Sunday onwards. I-80 Summit & Foothills: Warning, 11pm today through 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 60 mph Saturday night/Sunday morning with gusts at or above 75 mph expected Sunday afternoon onwards. North Carbon County & Shirley Basin: Watch, 2am Sunday morning to 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 60 mph Sunday with gusts at or above 70 mph possible Sunday afternoon onwards. Rawlins & East Platte County: Watch, 8am Sunday to 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 65 mph possible through event. Central Laramie County & Goshen County: 11am Sunday to 11pm Tuesday, gusts up to 65 mph possible through event.
