Driver of Stolen Motorhome Arrested After Chase Ends in Cheyenne
A 44-year-old Cheyenne transient is behind bars after reportedly leading Laramie County Sheriff's deputies on a wild chase in a stolen motorhome.
According to a department Facebook post, a Winnebago Minnie Winnie was reported stolen from the area of the Moose Lodge off South Greely Highway on Saturday, Jan. 4.

The following evening, deputies located the Winnebago on Horse Creek Road.
"As deputies coordinated the contact of the driver (later identified as Ryan Jenkins), they put a spike strip under one of the Winnebago’s tires," the post reads. "When Jenkins realized the deputies were there, he drove off. In doing so, the spike strip deflated one of the Winnebago tires."
Deputies pursued Jenkins east on Horse Creek Road, and as he passed over Interstate 25, Wyoming Highway Patrol troopers were able to spike multiple other tires on the Winnebago.
After the tires disintegrated, Jenkins reportedly continued to drive through several traffic control devices on just the sparking wheels, eventually going off the road at Cowboy Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram at 1121 E. Lincolnway.
"Jenkins then attempted to elude peace officers from the Cheyenne Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, and Laramie County Sheriff's Office," the post reads. "After a brief foot chase, Jenkins was taken into custody without incident."
Jenkins was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center. Charges are pending.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
