Rett Syndrome Awareness Month [AUDIO]

October is Rett Syndrome Awareness Month and one local family wants to educate people about the disease. Justin Johnson, whose daughter has Rett Syndrome, says it is often misdiagnosed.

Rett syndrome is rare -- only about one in 10,000 to 15,000 girls will develop the condition.

Johnson says research about the disease has been ongoing and he is hopeful there will be a break through soon.
