Wyoming's Charter School Law earned a ' D ' and is the 8th weakest in the country in Monday's release of the Essential Guide to Charter School Law,  from the Center for Education Reform.

Components such as the creation of multiple independent authorizers and fiscal equity can transform a state’s educational culture.

The US GPA of 2.1 -a ‘C’ – on state charter school laws is a result of states having earned five A grades, nine B's, seventeen C's, seven D's and four F's. Categories ranked include: the existence of multiple independent authorizers, number of schools allowed, operational autonomy, and fiscal equity when compared to their conventional public school peers.
