Red Flag Fire Warning Issued For Laramie, Much Of SE Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Fire Warning for a large part of southeast Wyoming.
At the last report, the warning area included Laramie, but not Cheyenne.
The agency posted the following on its website: A Red Flag Warning is in effect for portions of southeast Wyoming this afternoon. Gusty winds and very low relative humidity will lead to critical fire weather conditions today. Poor overnight humidity recoveries are expected, with another dry and gusty day expected on Tuesday. A Fire Weather Watch has been issued for portions of southeast Wyoming Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from noon today to 8 PM MDT this evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued. This Fire Weather Watch is in effect from Tuesday afternoon through Tuesday evening.
* WIND...West to southwest winds 15 to 25 MPH with gusts 30 to 40 MPH expected.
* HUMIDITY...6 to 12 percent. Poor overnight recoveries.
* HAINES...5 to 6.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
