After cool wet weather on Thursday and another fairly cool, partly cloudy day expected today, southeast Wyoming residents can look forward to warmer weather this weekend, although a few storms are possible on Sunday.

That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service.

The agency posted this on it's website:

Sunny skies and spring-like temperatures make a return this weekend! Highs on Friday range from the 40s to 50s, with cooler temperatures in the mountains. Gusty winds are expected both today and Saturday with gusts exceeding 35 mph. Saturday will be warmer with highs in the 60s and 70s before cooling slightly for Sunday. Reading The Past - Chugwater Wyoming Newspaper

These pages of the old Chugwter Wyoming newspaper show us coverage of the region from back in the 1940s.

There was little local news, other than the war.

But what was published at the time was important to the people of the area.

It was, in most case, the only news they had from outside their little ranch or town.
